We are looking for an  independent facilitator to work with some of our young men and their families. We encourage applications from people who have a lived experience of disability.
This is a contract position - the profiles of all of our facilitators go out to families who are looking for someone to work with them. The young person and their family select the facilitator they wish to work with. When chosen, the facilitator has a set amount of hours to work with a family, along with paid training and professional development time.
The person we are looking for  is someone who is keen to work with young people and their families, has great communication skills and the ability to  encourage people dream big and support them to plan for the future. You do not need to have worked in the disability sector before, but someone with good links, connections  and knowledge of their local community is essential.
The time of  work is  flexible and negotiated with the family - so it may be the work would be in the weekend or evening. The hours would  amount to only a few each week.
Please email hannah@eglives.co.nz if you are interested, or know someone who might be!
