Chief Executive, Standards and Monitoring Services

Mark has been involved in various youth/community work and adult education roles since the early 80s. Several of these roles have been within the disability sector, developing approaches that effectively enable individuals and families to create good lives for themselves.
Mark has been working, in a range of roles, with SAMS (Standards and Monitoring Services) since 1989. Over this period, Mark has led a variety of evaluation, education, research and resource development projects. Mark has been the Chief Executive at SAMS since early 2006.

Mark contributed to the original Enabling Good Lives report and has involvement with the Christchurch and Waikato demonstrations.

Mark believes the practical application of concepts like equity, respect and partnership transform individuals, families, organisations and communities.
