Helena is a Māori and disabled representative on the Enabling Good Lives Waikato (EGLW) Leadership Group, and had been since 2013. She is currently the co-coordinator for the EGLW Disability Forum. She is a national executive committee member of the Disabled Persons Assembly New Zealand and was a member of the System Transformation Co-Design Group.
Helena is a qualified social worker, and is a mother of two beautiful children. Helena also has a particular passion for the rights and voices of children.
