Toni Atkinson
Toni Atkinson is group manager of Disability Support Services at the Ministry of Health and has been involved in the health and disability sector for many years.
Since joining the Ministry of Health in 2012, Toni has been part of the cross-agency work on demonstrating Enabling Good Lives, a new way of supporting people with disabilities.
Prior to this, Toni held senior roles at Hutt Valley District Health Board as the manager of a number of clinical services including rehabilitation, older persons, allied health, mental health and addictions. She also held a number of positions within the finance team, as Toni is a qualified accountant.
Her extensive experience and knowledge of the sector is demonstrated by Toni’s passion and commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of people with a disability.
Toni enjoys going to the movies and shopping. She is a keen reader and her favourite ever purchase was her kindle.
